PHDI is non political, non profit registered community based organization founded in 2004 and took full scale operation after being registered by city council of Kampala. It was initiated by a group of four individuals Particularly Mr. Mugalu Jeff, Jjumba Nasser, Mbowa Alone Vincent and Bukenya K. Henry. PHDI operates in Makindye Division located in the western part Kampala city. It scales up its operation in:
Fostering self help schemes through family and community participation in the sustainable and integral development programs like alleviating the socio- economic problems that faces most families, Urban Agriculture, Education particularly for the Orphans and vulnerable children, Adult Literacy, HIV/ AIDS awareness campaign.
However PHDI gives gratitude and thanks to Mr. Buck Bradshaw for the guidance and moral support he gave and inspired us to create a strong ground for PHDI and its operations in Makindye division and we honor his time of volunteering with us.
